What is this form?

BIR Form 1604-CF, or Annual Information Return of Income Tax Withheld on Compensation and Final Withholding Taxes which is filed by a withholding agent who is required to withhold and deduct taxes on compensation that were paid to employees.

Who needs to file?

A withholding agent can be considered as an employer, possibly an individual, estate, partnership, trust, corporation or any government agency and other forms of government owned businesses who is allowed to deduct and withhold such taxes.

When to file?

Filing of form 1604CF needs to be accomplished by the withholding agent on or before the 31st of January after the calendar year in which compensation payments and other fees subject to final withholding taxes were settled.

Please take note that your tax forms will be sent electronically to the BIR until 9pm. Any forms that will be sent beyond that filing deadline will be transmitted within the next business day.
